Fuel for Adventure

The reason we founded MuleBar was to go on adventures.

That sounds simple but that's what we love doing with our friends and family.

Along the way, we've come across some incredible people who are committed to training hard and staying true to their goals and making them happen, and we mean that in all walks of life, not just on mountains or out racing. Those people are an inspiration to us and we have tried in a very direct way to help them on their way by fueling their adventure. We call them Mules since they carry our bars across the planet spreading the news about MuleBar.

Below are a selection of past events.

There's always new Adventures happening on our...

The route changes every year, and leads aspiring amateur and professional mountain bikers from around the world through approximately 800 kilometres of the unspoilt nature of the Western Cape and up approximately 16 000m of climbing over some of the most magnificent passes in South Africa.

Will ride for Beer. Sound a familiar credence? Well for Mule, Shaggy, this is a reality (apart from working for Airbus that is)

Shaggy has competed and won in that last three Challenger World finals, but probably best to let him do the talking:

“The World team Challenge was a great event. I really liked Cyprus and it was definitely the best venue I’ve been to for one of these events. The journey build up is always a little tense, but this time at least the journey went smoothly. I got picked up at 3am and made for Heathrow, terminal 5. We effortlessly cruised through security, seeing no evidence of the chaos the media had led us to believe in. The journey was long but pretty un-eventful, so by the time we got to the hotel and grabbed dinner it everyone was pretty much ready for bed.

A year goes quickly. Very quickly. As far as Jimmy and I were concerned we’d just brushed off the ice from the glacier on Pic Blanc before July came around again.

Salisbury Plain at 6am, with a sunrise, is a beautiful place to be especially if you’ve been in the saddle for the majority of them....
SPAM and Charge Bikes hosted their first 12 hour enduro on the 17th/18th May. Solo entrants or teams of 2, 3 or 4 competed around a 8mile lap from 6pm ‘til 6am.
